W. H. Eddy was founded in 1873 by William H. Eddy in Worcester, MA. He sold out in 1900 and the firm was reorganized as the William H. Eddy Co. The machines were marketed under the Hill, Clarke & Co. name in the 1890’s and the Eddy name after 1900.
