T. & R. Lees operated the Park Engineering Works, where they manufactured a variety of woodworking machinery. They back to at least 1883 and likely some years before that. The firm was dissolved in 1928.

  • The 1883-07-01 issue of The Marine Engineer has an article on the exhibitors at that year's Naval and Submarine Exhibition, including "Messrs. T. & R. Lees, of Hollingwood, near Oldham, exhibit about a dozen of their self-feeding hand-power drilling machines."
  • The 1884-12-01 Machinery Market carried an illustrated advertisement for this firm's "Lees's Patent Self-Feeding Hand Power Portable Radial Drilling Machine".
  • The 1887-08-26 issue of Industries carried an illustrated article for this firm's "Improved surfacing and thicknessing machine", and over-and-under jointer-planer.
  • From a 1925 issue of Engineering:
    We note, with regret, the death of Mr. William Lees, the managing director of Messrs. T. and R. Lees, Limited, of Hollinwood, Oldham, which occurred at his residence, Vale House, Vicarage-street, Hollinwood, Lancashire, on Wednesday, ...
  • An article in The London Gazette for 1928-07-28 reports that T. & R. Lees, Ltd., could not continue its business "by reason of its liabilities" and a solicitor had been appointed to wind up the company's affairs.
