Founded in 1857 as the Bricker & Company Foundry, the name was soon changed to Waterloo Mfg. Co.
About 1884, the firm merged with a local competitor to form the Waterloo Mfg. Co., which was incorporated in 1888 as the Waterloo Mfg. Co., Ltd.
