D6,935 Oct. 07, 1873 Design for frame for machines John M. Marston Boston, MA This design for a tablesaw frame was produced by the firm of Reed & Bowen, and from about 1872, by J. M. Marston himself. There seems to have been an overlap of a couple of years between the two makers; they were both small firms and perhaps shared castings.
401,894 Apr. 23, 1889 Table-top for circular saws Irving G. Marston Boston, MA The assignee is still in business making non-metallic washers. They claim to have been in business since 1844. We have no evidence that they ever manufactured a tablesaw. This saw is seen in an 1893 J. M. Marston catalog and the illustration clearly shows the name "J. M. Marston & Co." cast into the saw's base.
