Founded 1906 or 1907 to make drilling and boring equipment. At some point, became a division of the J. M. Nash Co.

Between 1956 and 1961, Nash merged with Wilken-Challoner Co., and is now part of Wisconsin Automated Machinery Corp., which still uses the Bell brand name, along with Vector and Challoner.
