Fig. 66 gives another combination. It consists of the bed,countershaft and inside-form grinding attachment, as in the machine first described (fig. 63), but in addition there is a special head, with an overhanging arm for grinding cones automatically after they are placed upon the axle, the axle being supported on dead centres, and driven by a pulley revolving on the front end of the fixed head spindle. |
