This machine appears in many Sears catalogs of the period but seems to be badged as Dunlap in the 1940s. This machine is fully functional. It is messy to use but I use it frequently. I acquired a number of other 1938-41 vintage Craftsman tools in the mid- 60's. Most of them had the type of "rocker" motor mount that you can see in this photo so that a motor could be easily swapped from machine to machine.(The motor was usually a 1/3 hp 1725 rpm washing machine motor, just as shown in the photo. The original motor mounts were iron and painted Sears blue. This one is aluminum and is probably from the late 1960's to early 70's.
